GEO 3D Four-in-a-row. GEO's board version of the popular game -also known as Plot Four, Four in a Row, Four in a Line, Captain's Mistress- for two players! The traditional Connect FourTM (released by Milton Bradley in 1974) is played on a seven-column, six-row, vertical, slotted grid, with discs of two colours. Players take turns dropping their chips into slots, trying to line up four of their own discs in a row - vertically, horizontally or diagonally. GEO's version, played on a board fitted with 16 vertical posts which can each host 4 donut-shaped rings, is much more challenging. Four same-coloured rings can be lined up in a number of directions and dimensions - see examples below.

Pattern Blocks

Pattern blocks teach small children about shapes and geometry, as well as develop their visual discrimination skills. This set of 5 plastic geometric tiles (rhombus, circle, square, rectangle and right-angled triangle) can be employed all the way from kindergarten to upper primary school. The activities in the guide comply with various strands and sub-strands of the new Australian Curriculum for Mathematics -Foundation Year up to Year 6. Extracts from each year's target learning outcomes are provided and linked with each task.
